Symbolistic-hermeneutic tangle i.e. symbol between psychoanalysis, phenomenology of religion and poetic imagination. Symbolic imaginarium in the Poemat bukoliczny [The Bucolic Poem] of Alexander Wat

The symbolistic manifest of Moréas grew up from the antipositivist turn and co-created its Dithley’s line. The way of understanding symbol which has been located between the realm of spiritual, religious, soul expression or inner experience of "I" and the poetic imagination, rooted in the symbolism of different cultures and times – was associated with new definitions proposed by reviving and passing significant transformations modern hermeneutics. This symbolistichermeneutic tangle decided largely about the meaning of a symbol until the twentieth century interpretations of Gadamer and Ricoeur. Ricoeur, indicating ”the areas of a symbol reign” and the structure of symbolic expression, is taking into account psychoanalysis, phenomenology of religion and poetic imagination. In his conception of a symbol has been also made an important shift associated with the focusing on speech, the attitude of ”being in front of the text”, approaching a significant way of thinking for reflection related to the ”linguistic turn”. Linguistic track turns out to be a creative gesture of creating the world and holding sway over it. The tangle of symbolism and hermeneutic therefore continues in the twentieth century, which shows the second part of the outline, concerning the symbolic representation of evil in Ricoeur's reflection and in Wat’sThe Bucolic Poem. Both Ricoeur and Wat reflections on this topic deem as an answer to the “misery” of modernity. In his Poem Wat takes the criticism of language establishing the states of affairs, in particular, symbolic language, what paves the way for symbolism, which is distrustful to authority of symbols and hermeneutics, which comes from the attitude of distrust.
