Abstrakt

Mobile technology has a great potential to reduce the burden cardiovascular disease. Given the high penetration of mobile devices in low and middle-income countries, health-related mobile applications might bypass traditional barriers to health information worldwide. This review highlights the content of released apps targeting primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. To this end, we present an overview of the current literature on mobile technology as it relates to prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases.
