O nową wizytówkę Polski

Słowa kluczowe:

political activity, reason, emotions, image of Poland

An attempt is made to assess the activity of the Polish political class. Two types of political actions are analysed: those guided by the heart (referring to the Romanticism) and those guided by the reason (related to the Enlightenment). If, prompted by the necessity of passing a new law, the opposing parties make false compromises but continue to hold on to their unchanged views, the political dispute between them is only seemingly solved and becomes a superficial agreement of the rationale of the heart and the rationale of the reason. Hence the resulting law can be nothing else but defective. Only rational political activities can lead to the success of the individual, the family and the society, and only such activities will ensure sustainable development of civilisation. In conclusion it is proposed that the new image of Poland must ensure that reason dominates over emotions in Polish political as well as everyday life.
